I'd like to know more about Poems and Poetry itself:)

also: i'd like to write a poem about a friend of mine that died recently
the poem is not for me, but for his sister
what can i write to her, if i don't want to be too unpersonal?
what i wan't to avoid is: my experiences with him, for there are not many of them i want to comfort her in these rough days

this is what i tried: Time will guide us trough this path of pain memories will full us with joy and remorse For we have no complain even without force we'll still think about him and gain pleasure and sadness Old thoughts rushing trough me I felt this way before, it was stronger then Jeff told once about robert, what a nice person he was i can only say: i'm sorry for your loss

explanation : Jeff was a good friend of mine who died without a good reason and the same happened to her brother.

please give me some notes on this and help me :)

Actually, your poem is a great tribute. The only alteration I would make is to add a line or two after the words ''your loss ...'' The words should express personal strength and life fulfillment you have both gotten by knowing these fine people.
