The crackling
Delicacy
Of beach-swept flight
A latticed bone
Edging existence -
What once was living
Leaves little legacy
Only
An unfelt softness
Where feathers once were
And unheard calls –
Not a sense
But those remembered,
Only
A framework of
Possiblity
Sand and sun and skeleton
Which flies again
In the wind from the sea.

I enjoyed the poem, mir, your words created pictures that we have all seen in our time. In particular, what I found sweetly sad was

An unfelt softness
Where feathers once wereNice job. :)

A fine poem all in all, but it was

Only
A framework of
Possiblity

that had metaphysical grandeur to me. Thank you.

This death is unclear as to what it took there is so little left to examine!
