how did Joseph Conrad's work influence Edgar Allan Poe in American Literature???
the dark side of the human psyche??
any ideas????

shouldn't it be the other way around? Poe was before Conrad, if I do remember correctly.

One thing it's taken me a long time to learn but I've found to be very true is that there is no such thing as a stupid question -- I'd suggest that you ask your literature teacher just what he or she means.
