Do you accept to find some one telling you about your Mistakes?
Will you accept that , Or refuse ?
Will you try to change from yourself , or not?
I always say to any one told me about anything wrong , May Allah bless you , as you Prized my Mistakes to me . :)
So what about you ?
I don't admit mistakes. When someone points out a mistake, I get mad and yell at them. Later I think about it and do make change. I am a creature of pride

I do admit that I can be on mistake, but I don't have to do that in front of everybody else. :p
On a more serious note, I think being able to consider one's ownself as to be blamed is itself something one can take pride in.
I didn't say I was right.

In this case, there is a thick line between honesty and lack of politeness - especially when adults are concerned, as they are more-less formed persons. Aside one's professional life and mistakes made in it (I honestly cannot appreciate more being shown my mistakes in piano, as that is precisely what is going to save me), when we come to the sphere of more private, pointing out to other people's mistakes is in some cases simply not done, especially if you are not in tight relationships with them.
Personally, it depends a lot upon the situation and circumstances. I generally do not like people taking themselves freedom to judge me (probably also because I rarely do the same, so somehow I expect this kind of mutual 'agreement'), unless it is about something severe. I am willing to listen to them, though I keep the right not to give a damn about that. And in most of the cases that is precisely how I react - by not caring - yes, and? (*takes another sip of tea and lights a cigarette*). It hardly gets me at all, nor does it affect significantly my future behaviour, as I tend to mend my ways when *I* think something is wrong about them, not the others, and I rarely get the change of perspective by other people - some things just need to be let go, and given some time to, that is how I have been fixing most of my mistakes so far.
So, yeah, one could say that I do not quite appreciate being told of my mistakes. Not to mention that I am simply too much of a relativist to adhere to an idea of absolute moral or absolute values or absolute "rightness".
(On the side note, when other people are concerned and my behaviour towards them, I am ready to admit having been wrong and to apologise; my previous post was about criticising for the sake of criticising other people, which happens way too often.)
I didn't say that you thought you were right. :)
Well, i'm not. It's really how I am. I'm extremely competitive, and it's always seemed to me that admitting a mistake is showing a weakness. I think it comes from being a twin and having to compete for attention

Nobody likes to be found wrong, I don't mind anyone telling me I did something wrong, but in return I don't think they should mind me getting a bit angry about it, even when I'm wrong :p We're only humans, if you don't make mistakes, then you're not normal lol

For the most part I don't mind if someone tells me I did something wrong. what I don't like at times is the approach some people use. I hate it when someone tells you something in a condescending way ot turns it around on you. for example: when I decided to quit my job, the president of the company turned to me and said, "well, you aren't a people person anyway, you like to work on your own". I was in total shock when she said this. I said back to her, then why did you keep promoting me and consistently tell me what a great job I was doing.

I'm like that...if someone points my mistakes out, I feel kind of offended even if I know they're perfectly right. So even if I'm telling myself that I'm wrong, when someone else tells me I feel that I have to deny that

You're a twin?!

Yes that is right , to admit with your mistakes is considered to be a pride , but after blaming you have to change your Mistakes.

I constantly make mistakes and belittle >myself< for it publicly. Other people tend to not point out my mistakes because of how much I badger myself, and they're usually telling me "Shut up! You do LOTS of things right!"
I have good friends =]

Hahahahaha papaya...
I learn from my mistakes, obviously. Like when I make a wrong stroke with my pencil when I'm drawing and it turns out good. I like that.
Shut up, Becca! You do LOTS of things right!!

That is very wonderful , It is rare to find someone admit with his\her mistakes and try to correct them .
But I think that your way , will make your friends never tell you about anything wrong .
so I think that your way is very good for people who hate anyone to point out their mistakes. :)

I do mistakes as everybody does. And I tell people they commit it. But when I'm told that I do it, then I'll not, instantly, admit yeah I did it and thanks for the correction rather I'll show as I don't believe I do it while later I think of it and if possible correct it or do otherwise.
LOL...I sound obsitinate, uh? I'm not one, really.

Everyone makes mistakes and everyone hates them (except if there're the funny kind of mistake). I don't like admitting mistakes, especially if I was really sure about something, which then led me to making a mistake. But I do know that it's necesary to admit them, if not to others then at least to yourself, and learn from them.
