Dane Cook - funny but kind of dirty too.
Mitch Hedburg - he died of an overdose (I think), but he was hilarious. His delivery of the jokes was key to his act. He had this whole stoner persona. He also had a small part in Lords of Dogtown and a That
70's Show episode.
Ellen DeGeneres - she manages to be extremely funny without grossing you out. I love her standup.
Ron White - You Can't Fix Stupid
I am sure I will think of more later.
I have no idea what his name is, but he's a ventriloquist on Comedy Central. He has Walter, and Ahmed the Dead Terrorist...

I miss Mitch Hedburg. I don't much care for Dane Cook - strikes me as juvenile and overall unfunny.
Mitch Hedburg
Robin Williams
Eddie Izzard
Ellen Degeneres
Ron White
Lewis Black (bearing in mind that he's a comic, not a politician)
I'm sure I'll think of more later. =)

I'm generally not a fan of stand-up or sketch comedy. But I love Eddie Izzard. He is so awesome. I love his routine about different European countries and languages. "ciao" :D

My Islamic-Studies teacher, but then I have a bit weird sense of humour. Chemistry teacher is close too.

Having a fairly typical 'British' sense of humour, my list looks something like this:
Stephen Fry
Hugh Laurie
Lee Evans
Billy Connolly
I'm sure there must be a few more, alas my mind cannot recall them at such a wee hour.

Victor Borge
:thumbs_up :thumbs_up :thumbs_up !
He was excellent.
"The difference between a violin and a viola is that a viola burns longer."
I actually am kind of amused by Dave Chapelle, but in general I don't like stand-up comedians that much. I really like David Sedaris's books, and Wodehouse's Jeeves stories.

Yes, quite a funny guy, he was. I really get a kick out of him because I also play piano, and it is quite amazing to see his zany antics whilst playing some of the most difficult stuff ever written for piano... (Hungarian Rhapsodies, etc.) :)

I really liked Steve Martin when he was hosting SNL so often back in the 70's. I liked most of the original cast. The first two or three seasons were side splitting.

Yeah he is great, I have a dvd with him as a weather man. It is absolutely the best.
I like Seinfeld though often his jokes border on not funny, I guess it is he himself that I like.
I like what's his name um oh right Rodney Dangerfield.

No love for Dave Attell?
"Some people are against porno movies. And I say hey, Ohio, Kentucky, and Iran: I say, hey - whatever a man, and a woman, and another woman with a penis and a midget do to a donkey, that's their garsh-darn business."
"You see a guy with one leg, he's got a story. "Land mine '69." You see a guy with one arm, he's got a story, too. "Snow blower, bottle of whiskey." You see a guy with one tooth, what would the story be? "Well, uh, I like a lot of taffy."
