Yep, I am a junior in highschool and I have a midterm of friday consisting of one 5page minimum, and a 10page minimum essays :sick: . I cannot pre-write them, however, I can bring outlines, with workcited/bibliography and I will be able to type them up on a laptop during class *few* yes I know, he's a crazy teacher, but I wanted to ask for other peoples opinions for the topics that I am writing about. He's given us choices on the 10pg min., but still, its not easy.
Well, I feel that I should just post down what he asks, so here it is
Yeah... Well, I think that I will start on the first essay after I work on the longer one. For the longer, A is obviously easier than C, however,
A) I'm not exactly sure if I'll be able to get enough information on the subject. I'm more comfortable with proving it to be Gothic literature, since I've read more of that than any of the other types. I also don't know much about Whitman, so I think I'm going to chose Emily Dickinson.
C) Requires a lot more information, a lot more depth and accuracy, but that means I wont have to worry about the amount of pages because I know I'll have more than enough.
Shesh.. lol its a lot I know, but please, since you have hopefully read up to this point, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations to literary pieces for Dickinson, or any idea on what is American Literature
