Your voice like a melody softly falling
lends peace to the air, giving this
terrain the even cover of its drifting,
releasing flakes from a clear blue sky
turned black in the night, leaving for
tomorrow a crust on which we step...

come, fall on my arms, cover me,
dust me with white feathers until
they glisten on my lips; the air
is a moving being, alive with
lights...

while never sleeping the earth
is bound in silence,
listening.
