It's an all out, no bars held Martian invasion of the Lit-net.

Behold, they sent their most famous philosopher, Buckheart Snoreasy and he will explain the fundamentals of thread building on the premise of polls and sensible subjects.

"So you take one thread, fill it with lots of users, give a good shake and then once all the parameters are set and we take a few days to discuss the subject of eternal damnation in the eyes of cute little penguins, we can all...."

And then people say that my Platypus thread was stupid and useless. I certainly have a lot more to learn about this human species, I am at a loss.

It's like Buckheart Snoreasy said in his book on the dynamics of space philosophy according to brooding superheroes.

"You either occupy a spot in space-time, or the villain is going to have a field day at the office."

what kind of philosopher is Buckheart Snoreasy? has he ventured into philosophy of language? what would he say about a sentence such as:

The penguin was singing in the garden.

It's all explained in "The Farthest Snore" by Ursula penGuin

YES!!!

I thought I was the only one feeling those things! PENGUINS!!! And the sperm whale! Stupid penguins and sperm whales and their gelantinous oozy brain cells that want to take over my body.

And how about those potato bugs!? Don't get me started on them! They said they'd give me free coupons for a lifetime supply of sauerkraut BUT NOOOOOOO!!!! They're so wacky! Buncha scumbags!!! WHERE'S MY SAUERKRAUT?!?!?!!!!!

Oh master, Snoreasy:
What is the difference between affirmative and yes?
I hope I haven't strayed.

Actually, as far as I know, penguins are native to the planet earth. It is true they have spread across several galaxies, maybe your's is a travelling merchant of pinguin related brick a brack that is stranded on earth? You'll have to check with a specialist to be sure though.

Yes is a three letter word, affirmative isn't. :p
