hey guys im only just starting out here, im doing english literature at uni so thought it would be good to get in touch with other people about their views and opinions on certain topics but already im having trouble!!

i don't know how to create a discussion?!
i don't know whether this is one, but because ive been on this site for about an hour now trying to figure it out im getting well annoyed!im just baffled!

it's probably the easiest thing in the world but if any one could help me that would be ace!thanks!

This is a discussion...well, first, you have to choose which category you want it under: General Chat, General Literature...etc. Then you click the New Thread button on the top of the page, and start typing!

You see, when you go to the index: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/index.php
you will see a long list of "types of discussions". You click on one of them, and then you'll see in that page, a new thread button. That automatically allows your discussion to be in that particular category.

There is no formality, and everyone can open discussions and you are already half a way. This is not a classroom but just a gathering of people from diverse disciplines and fields.
