Splash! Not quite,
not quite a splash,
your ears may have misled you.
The darkness,
not quite as light
as you would love to believe.
The Butterfly
is just alive.
Just how alive is it?
Like a human?
Like a dog?
Or just a pretty picture?
She flutters,
away She goes,
She will never return from
the light,
not quite as dark,
as the void inside you mind.

lest they
may fly and flutter away,
so happy ever after.

I would call this poem "surreal". Everyone who reads it will get something from it, but it will remain a vision slightly set off center so you are never certain of the meaning, but cannot help but fall in love with it. :thumbs_up
