am i male? female? are you male? female?

do you care? do you want us to guess? do you prefer to be androgynous or flagrantly tout your style of dress and gender of preference, your preferred scents and colors?

or is this something you'd prefer shut away, barricaded behind black on white lettering, courier font-like, just a mind and a typewriter - okay, keyboard -

- hmmmm....!!!

let us know. ;)

I am male, and generally wear male clothing, and I am open about my sexual orientation if someone asks me, infact you could say that I am proud. I'm a white male, and am not afraid to admit that I am heterosexual, People should be afraid of what they are, some people like the opposite sex, like me for example, and others like the same sex, doesn't really matter much to me what ya do in yer bedroom... just don't show me. :ladysman:

Samuel Taylor Coleridge believed "a great mind is androgynous."
I wish I could live up to such expectations, but I am male, shy, dress indifferently, and tend to act far less "manly" than an average male.

ok...well, it's pretty obvious, I should hope, by my username if nothing else that I'm female. But the other day a friend punched me in the arm 'you jerk!! you hit girls!!' 'you're not a girl' so maybe I'm not really one of these 'feminine' types? I told him to cross his legs real quick before he became one. :D

dress sense? hmmm..... [looks down at pyjamas... wonders where my bunny slippers went] I think I own one dress - a cheong sam which I never wear... and hundreds of identical pieces of clothing - my trademark bootleg pants and tops.

Aside from that, I don't think anybody here really cares about our sexuality.

it was just from a comment in another thread that i started this one, that's all. i don't care. i'm female in this lifetime, for the record. :D which sometimes i find annoying, to be honest.

just the name "cheong sam" sounds pretty. will have to google to see what it looks like.

I'm 100% female and proud of it. I'm a living proof that not all girls 1)drool on celebrities 2)read only the People magazine 3)pay attention more to image than to the actual music 4)spend an hour each day applying make-ups.

I'm not sure about my sexual orientation. I have the hots for many anime guys. ;)

I endeavor to seek that androgenous freedom with all physical and mental attributes of my being.

The androgynous thing doesn't really work, don't get carried away by that. Bowie tried it several years, then he realised that the best he could for his career was to marry Iman. :ladysman:

im a girl. not a girlie girl, but female nonetheless. i spend most of my days in beat up blue jeans and a faded grey t-shirt with black ARMY letters on the front. i wear girlie clothes to work, but only because i make more money....

I think sexuality is a taboo thing, that is brought up to get a reaction(?), Generally people don't talk about their sexual preferences if they are talking face to face, but if there is no face, or name even, just an addopted persona, It makes these topics eisier to discuss, but it can also bring in the fudge factor.

Example " Hi I am Stanislaw, I am a triple breasted hooker form eroticon seven, I wrote a couple books..."

People may also feel more open to explore their sexuality through their persona, a self exploration of sorts. One just has to be carefull of reality vs. unreality (couldn't think of the word).

I think it is okay for a person to do whatever they want, in their bedroom, just don't tell me... unless your Pamela anderson... :ladysman:

On a related note, how are those heads jumping without feet? (I have yet to truly understand the science of emoticoning.)

mm. i'm a little confused; why is sexuality taboo? do you mean in general? i don't think it really is, we've discussed having bf's (us girls) and if you guys want to discuss your gf's, bf's, or girls have gf's, well, okay.
just curious, Stanislaw. i mean, we all got here because our folks ;) had sex.

hi coquelicot1106.

I didn't mean that sexuality is a taboo, just the open discussion of is a taboo, a kind of avengarde attention getter.

Sorry if I wasn't clear

that's okay.

i think maybe it's taboo for some people not for others; personally i don't think saying someone's hetero is any more or less taboo than saying they bi/gay. preferences are just preferences, aren't they?

peace.

Yes that is true, but many people do not talk openly about this topic.

If I may, Stanis... are you referring to the fact that on an Internet forum, the characterization of identity can be simultaneously based on truth and falsities, so that information not pertinent to the subject matter (e.g. sexual preference) is for all intents and purposes, moot?

I have attached a Venn Diagram, which I believe is a visual depiction of Stanis' aforementioned hypothesis...

The only solution to this quagmire (in my opinion) is to start a thread regarding girl-on-girl "action".
