As if in the light of this moon, I can see those tears.
I wish to wipe them away; I wish only to make you smile.
As if in that moment I could save you.
Yet who am I to think that I could save the world?

And as if upon my call, as if my words could help,
I try. I really do.
I will always call; I will always write.
Yet who am I to think that I could make a difference?

I only want to help; I only want to save you.
I wish to be the one you run to, with arms wide open,
I want you to cry on my shoulder, I want you to know that I’m here.
Yet who am I to think that I could be that shoulder?

And as if to answer my own question I say no.
I try. I really do.
I will always be there; my arms always open wide.
Yet who am I to think…?

This one is great...I need a cowbell, and keep it up. B

This is a masterpiece and here the poet has very realistically spoken something about love, relationship and the like. Here the point is at one end there is something the poet wants to relate to someone else, yet this is just an eddy on is in, and helpless for relationship is a fleeting thing.

This is not criticism, but some expression springing up after reading the poem.
