I lay on this grass and I feel the wind pass over me,
My eyes are upon you, oh angel of mine.
My eyes can open; my eyes can close,
Yet no matter how I see through them, all I can see is you.
When I am awake, when I dream,
I am drowning in the thought, oh angel of mine.
My eyes are burning; I must shut them,
Yet no matter what darkness I am devoured, all I can see is you.
No more, please, leave my mind and heart.
Please, no more, lest I pluck out my eyes and cut out my heart.
I can no longer see; yet that is not a problem.
No, not for you, as I am just a shadow to you.
I lay here, without eyes and without heart,
A human that died falling for an angel.
I lay here; life devoid of this body,
As a fool to fall for an angel such as you.
