Hi all,
Normally I don't do this, and I am not looking for answers to my entire project but this is a case where I simply cannot recall exact examples that show the topic I have been assigned to study in my English class group: Find envy of admiration in Lord of the Flies and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Now, I don't want to be caught or anything and accused of cheating because I don't want anyone to provide me with page numbers... I am simply looking for a hand to provide me with ideas from the novel that point to envy of admiration... One of the characters in either of the novel showing jealousy towards another because of who admires them. The only idea I came up with that DOES have a part that I believe I can play around with is Jack's mortification that the group of children outside of his choir did not prefer him to be the leader in LOTF.
Any other ideas from both novels would be greatly appreciated as I have put a mighty amount of effort into figuring this out, and cannot seem to do it. Again, I don't want this to be considered cheating so let me work out the reasons WHY a particular part proves envy, and let me do the wording of the explanation.
Thanks in advance!
