... meaning "Hi, folks" in German. My country of origin is Austria. I started writing shortly after I started reading, at the age of about six. At the age of ten I won an Austrian literature contest and that was my first time with an Austrian literature club for kids and teenagers. I spent many weeks at writing workshops in picturesque places all over Austria, Germany and Denmark. This is where I met many of my best friends.
Right now I am doing a year as an exchange student in Overland Park, Kansas, USA. I have a great time experiencing the world from another point of view. As part of my learning experience I want to try writing stories in English. Please be specific when commenting on my texts, regardless the fact that English is not my first language. Correct my style wherever possible. Thank you!
:)

Oh no! Nicht ein anders Deutschman...aber nein, er ist einer Oestereircher. AP..(short for AustrianPenrage).. You should visit the thread Kraut Konspiracy. It is home to the Gemanophiles and natives alike. Drop by it and say hello. I hope you like it here and welcome to the forums.

yep, Themis, we should teach him some (proper) German :) .... and you can teach him Austrian German :D ;) j/k
B-Mental, the German language is evil and one of it's pitfalls is that
ein anderer means a different one, not another one.
if you want to say "Not another German" it's "Nicht noch ein Deutscher!" or "Nicht noch so ein Deutscher!" (Not another one of those Germans!) or " Nicht schon wieder so ein Deutscher!" (Not another of those Germans again!)
noch einer is another in the sense of an additional, further one.
but don't worry, I got the gist of your message anyway :thumbs_up

And don't forget to make sure you don't mix Germans with Austrians. ;) We're sensitive to such mistakes.
@Austrianpenrage: I'm not used to be called such. ^^ And I'm a girl.
