My country? No, I have no country

Yet for the sake of a temporary identity

Yes I do have a country,

Fragmented ideals, blurred dreams of a nation birthed a nation

You call it nation or homeland

My name? It speaks little of me

Not of what constitutes me

The real me, the inside me, the stuff me

My family? A temporal, an association

A forced hodgepodge

My education? Nothing of value but a mixed bag of rubbishes

My world ? A speck, a dust that gets lost in the eddy of undercurrents or whirlwinds.

My God? Something to take refuge in, a temporary asylum, not an end

My religion? A dividing line, a borderline that smears a million innocent souls

My existence? That never unfolds, for I am part of the flows and that sets everything in flux.

My origins and end? Misted.

What am I? Like sheets of clouds afloat eternally out of which thousand and one dreams are woven

Into personalities and ideals.

blaze, I have read 'the making of me'. i don't know if i should feel sad. but your poem reminds me of Lao-zi and Buddhist writings.

A courageous poem, Blaze! But you are - or were - the author of those sentiments; you are the heir of who you were yesterday & the day before and the parent of who you will be tomorrow...
