My favorite is from Frost's "Death of a Hired Hand [Man]:

Home is the place where, when you have to go there,
They have to take you in.

Does anyone have any other favorites?

I thought it a warm gesture in David Copperfield, by Charles Dickens, where a candlelight will always have its place at home's front window to guide one there.
