A Nervous "Hello"

Hi. Sorry if it sounds like I have a lack of confidence, I'm just not very good at introducing myself to a large online community.

I joined this site in search for writing. I'm not looking for those "popular" authors, I'm looking for the "unknown" authors. The ones who write for fun, or the ones who try their hardest to get a book published.

I enjoy reading stories of life, love, and adventure. I also enjoy reading poems of the same type. I'm a poet, but I haven't done much work. I have never written a story yet, but I am currently working on a story I hope to become a full novel.

I'm not familiar with this site, as I have only found it through Google. If theres anything I need to know, please tell me. I hope my stay here will be enjoyable. Thanks.

Hello sixwingmortal, may I call you SWM? I think you'll like it here. Lots of writers hang around, there are some short story competitions,and don't forget to check out the blogs. Oh, can't forget all of the great poets on the site too.
