songs of morning sing
flying on the wings
of the cool morning breeze
little dark eyes peek through heavy lashes
breath as sweet as the honey dew melon
answers the call of life

slowly and delightfully she picks herself up
into a sitting position
and smiles at the sound
of another day coming to greet her
morning kisses are only a thought
dancing in the mind of the curly haired child

standing fully and blinking herself awake
she awaits her loves to walk through the door
a warm breeze caresses her cheek
she happily sings out
mommy?
Gabby is awake..

Yes, it is my poem. I posted it in the wrong spot. Sorry. How do I move it? Thank you...;)

This is lovely and transcendentally beautiful - very effective as well - nothing is out of place. The second stanza is so effective at setting the tone of such a lovely and beautiful sentiment - slowness is a virtue of illimitable value, we are very wise not to lose sight of this kind of thing - beauty of life. Shelley and Blake would probably be so proud. :-)

Really it is a capture of everything hopeful and beautiful, as far as I can tell. . If I'm unable to express the beauty of this poem any better, it's because there's not much else to say - it's wordlessly beautiful, life as it should be lived. I'm grateful to have experienced this kind of thing for most all of my life, and I am fairly sure the reason for living is to experience this kind of light.
