I have to say, I loved this book. A lengthier read than W&P, yet so worth it. And when I read the Afterword, "this book is about the Infinite, and man is a secondary character," I thought well, of course - why didn't I see that from the start.
It's a rather Grand Canyon of a book...beautiful in its vastness. I'm not ready to pick it apart at this moment. But I will say that at one point I was dog-earring every page, or nearly every other page, because of the gorgeous, gorgeous prose.
:)
And I'm glad that school and life and other books interrupted my reading and spread it out over time...I don't know that I shall ever have a feast like this again.
