Now , Imagine that you will die ,
What will be your Finale Message?
And to Whom?
Or you are stranded on a deserted Island , and you won't come back again
,you have a chance to write a message , what will be that Message , to Whom?

i hope that when I'm about to die, I won't have to write anyone a final message. I make it a principle to let people know how I feel about them whenever it is appropriate. This way I won't have to spend the next 80 years pondering about why I didn't say this and that to X or Y.

Is Douglas "Goodbye and Thanks for all the Fish" Adams still with us, or is he hitch-hiking somewhere in the next world? If the latter, what were HIS final words?

I know these final words: "I apologize for the inconvenience"

anyway, Adams died on May 11, 2001 because of a heart attack...no final words listed online...

*joins Adams fan club* At work in the bookstore, only my boss and i have read the books. Goodness we have so many internal jokes :) But yes;

So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear?

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

And on it goes, but you can look the lyrics up yourself ;)

At the moment I feel this would be the message and would be directed to everyone who would care to pay attention:

All that is gold doesn't glitter
All those wander are not lost
Old that is strong does not wither
Deep roots are not reached by the frost

Oh and I would like to cry my heart out too, write some diary or something about my feelings, but I doubt it would happen...

Good Advice ,
Thank you,

Glad you like it.
It actually comes from The Ambassadors; it's Strether's advice to little Bilham:

"Live all you can; it's a mistake not to.
It doesn't so much matter what you do in particular so long as you
have your life. If you haven't had that what HAVE you had? I'm too
old--too old at any rate for what I see. What one loses one loses;
make no mistake about that. Still, we have the illusion of freedom;
therefore don't, like me to-day, be without the memory of that illusion.
I was either, at the right time, too stupid or too intelligent to have it,
and now I'm a case of reaction against the mistake. Do what you like
so long as you don't make it. For it WAS a mistake. Live, live!"

Reminds me of a favorite Bard Sonnet:

Or I shall live your epitaph to make,
Or you survive when I in earth am rotten;
From hence your memory death cannot take,
Although in me each part will be forgotten.
Your name from hence immortal life shall have,
Though I, once gone, to all the world must die:
The earth can yield me but a common grave,
When you entombed in men's eyes shall lie.
Your monument shall be my gentle verse,
Which eyes not yet created shall o'er-read,
And tongues to be your being shall rehearse
When all the breathers of this world are dead;
You still shall live--such virtue hath my pen--
Where breath most breathes, even in the mouths of men.

I always had a feeling I would come back and haunt people, so a farewell message wont be nessecary. :nod:

Jeez guys! So many of you going on about Hitchhikers and not one turned around and went...

...Actually its "So long and thanks for all the fish!" :p (yeah i'm a cheeky little so and so arent i! :brow:)

I dont know...Maybe "See you on the other side and dont forget to bring some tea!"

But then again i'm the type of person who bottles things up and if i knew i was about to die i'd probably write down how i felt about people. If i liked someone but never plucked up the courage to tell them I'd probably leave them a message saying " I Loved you more than you knew. Please look after my soul, it has always been yours." (yeah very mushy.)
