Sure I'll help, if eyemaker can demonstrate that he/she has done anything on this other than ask for help here. I've been here for a couple of years now talisman, and just because someone wants others to do their homework, doesn't mean they've done any of it. You'll start to recognise homework questions that have been worked on, and those that expect the forum to do it for 'em.

Let's make it straight and easy... "What can you say about those Literary pieces? Can you give some reflections?" Done... Any help will do..

Ok, on Pasternak's "Dr. Zhivago...Yuri has his idealism crushed from him bit by painful bit, and just when you think that he has regained it, the society takes it from him again...It is in my opinion the saddest most depressing book written.
As far as The Raven...The poem is so beautiful. Its haunting chorus, the mood, everything is set perfectly. The worst thing about the poem is how modern culture has made it cliche. Direct or indirect references to it slowly break down that wonder that Poe so eloquently generated.

This may be slightly off-topic,but does anyone else feel like Pasternak's work just wasn't that important to be rewarded with a Nobel Prize?
Now,I'm not an expert as far as he's concerned,I've only read The Second Birth and Doctor Zhivago, but those simply don't look that profound to me.I may,of course,be reading them the wrong way?Oh well...

Go to wikipedia, and read about Pasternak, and see if you change your mind. He wrote a book that word of mouthed him the Nobel Prize.

When is your paper due? I'm part of a book club that will be reading Dr.Zhivago this month, so I can offer my assistance in a few weeks, if possible.
