The Night's Curse
by mazHur
The demon of night
descends from the sky,
voracious as ever,
to devour my soul,
the soul of a separated lover;
my earthly frame
sunk in pitch darkness
peeving helplessly
at my fate,
hoping for the sun to rise
and the gladiators of its radiance
extricate my lonely soul
from the night's curse.

yes, the brooding thought of the departed lover: a curse.
I hope it's all well, tonight...

Sounds like the legend of Lilith? It's quite interesting-- as she, not Eve, was the first woman in Judeo-Christian legend (though not in the Bible.)

You have I believe written many beautiful poems and all of them are really moving.
It seems you are very sensitive to the environment and everything you come across.

yep! your guess is right,,,I feel everything ,,,
but against the saying by Martin Luther jr. ,you have a good eye for seeing stars
not only in darkness but also when they are hidden ,,,Tibetan magic perhaps!
thanks for your kind appreciation
cheers !

Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars. ~ Martin Luther King
