I am bowled over

Why we quieted ourselves and seem at peace

Marring and maiming our spirits

Is it not death incarnate?

For there is a parade ready to assail at hand

Of the deprived

Injustice! Injustice!! Injustice!!

Resounding everywhere

There is a war hard by

There are uproars and outcries

Here you are smitten with amours and blithely unresponsive

The fire close by is not extinguishable

This is the fire of the radicals, can not be smothered with ease

Things not taken care of can boomerang

A viper in the bosom should not go unnoticed

For we are part of the system

An unscrewed rivet can wobble the whole structure

There are starvations, famines, drug trafficking

Here is abundance; loads of things, foods go washed out

There is bareness; stark naked specters are in wait for something

To wage a series of wars against the looters of resources

Here we watch macabre dances to satisfy our primitive brutal motives.

Equality, democracy, republic spirits, generosities are junk- words

A vehicle for your imperial stamp

Things go unheard, for there are voices that can not be quieted with your gunshot

Nor can melodramas can subside

The earth is commonwealth, no trespassing domain of the few

Greed, covetousness, domination need to be stamped out

Peace in dungeon; a provisional pacification, a coerced quietude

That can not be hinged on

We can not disengage the mob out there

Living with buffooneries, unmindful of the unthinkable

Ours will be a downturn, with our existence in jeopardy

Let us congregate to do something needful of common sense

Or else face the unimaginable

For nature will even up all disparities
For she can not see her children in inequalities

interesting thoughts, blaze.
do these lines mean that some well-off people seek spiritual calm etc but it's a luxury they can't really afford, seeing as there are wars etc in the 'real' world?

ah, if it only were that simple :(
or do you mean nature will even out the disparities by destroying everyone, poor and rich, oppressed and powerful?

Of course nature has to even out ultimately. The earth or nature has to cleanse it of all impurities, contagions, taints.

See now there are too many differences, vagaries, disparities, and they are making voids indeed among one another. These abysses need to be indeed filled up.

That we all commonly share this planet is a truth we are not unaware of in point of fact yet we try to have predominance or monopoly over things.

The wall must be demolished and let us have a borderless world and classless society. I am not an advocate of Marxism having advocated for a society of classlessness. There are flaws therein. In fact no ism or no theory or ideologies are complete per se.

All we need to do is break the wall that splits up humanity.

I think this is a very powerful poem Blaze. The title itself says a lot to me for I often play the three monkeys....see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. I was thinking of universal justice as I finished reading and indeed, nature may prevail.

Ah! You poured most of the current situations and disparities in this world here in your grand poem. I had to take reference of dictionary to understand your poem; there are tons of words whose face I hadn't seen before. Though it was worthy reading till the end with the help of dictionary. Great work Blaze! I really appreciate this poem of yours! :thumbs_up
