Like it said on the title, why did you choose your name? Along with why did you choose your avatar or your signature? It gets interesting when you don't understand them sometimes.

I chose HuiHuffaker because Hui is my middle name. Its korean and the only thing i have to remember my biological mother by. Curse her for being gone. But I'd still like to be able to see her. And Huffaker is my last name. Its German along with my Father. The only one i have. And the avatar is a heart because i absolutly love everything around me and life is pretty great too. :)

Welcome to the forum, huihuffaker!

My name - unimaginative. It's my real first name.
My avatar - one of my favourite German poetesses
My signature - the beginning of a ballad written by that poetess

I love your positive outlook on Life, the Universe and Everything, huihuffaker! (But you'd better not curse your mom ...;) )

BulletproofDork:

1. Because I am a very weird person.

2. I change my avatar pretty often, but right now it's "young and insane". Because I am young and insane.

3. My sig. Groucho Marx is awesome! Need I say more? ;)

Wyoecho, Wild Wind: I chose my name because I will always remember making love in the moonlight while hearing the echoes of the mighty wild Wind River as it raged down the wind river canyon in Wyoming.

My Avatar, the Valkyrie.
The Valkyries, were warrior maidens who attended Odin, ruler of the gods. The Valkyries rode through the air in brilliant armor, directed battles, distributed death lots among the warriors, and conducted the souls of slain heroes to Valhalla, the great hall of Odin.
I hope I shall die such a death that I am carried by a valkyrie to Valhalla.

My name= "I will worship God" in Italian because that is what I long to do with my life

My avatar- Smile! Need I say more?

My sig? That is my philosophy in my own words and that girl is just adorable and you can't help but smile when you see it.

Dori

Dori ~ from The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Apparently Tolkien's choices for the names of his dwarves weren't very masculine, as I have been mistaked for a female too many times.

Avatar ~ a chocobo, from Final Fantasy VII (a video game for Playstation). Chocobos rock! :D

Signiture ~ I read this quote from The Story of Philosophy by Bryan Magee. It just struck me as any good quote will do.

dori, final fantasy? i love that! never actually played, but what i've seen of it is wicked!

Shurtugal- From the book Eragon means, "Dragon Rider."

Avatar- i always change it, but so far it's been almost always magical. This one is just beautiful and mysterious.

Signature- First one i have never changed and i probably never will. Peter PAn rules! the second is something that i got from "Gone with the wind" but i couldn't remember it off hand so i put it closer to my own words. third is from a poem i wrote and it just fit. And the last i kinda got it from green lake but changed it to fit my specifacation.

LadyWentworth

1. LadyWentworth - I chose this name after the character of Captain Wentworth in Austen's Persuasion. I have a great love for this man. I figured that I might as well use his name in the computer world because I can never have it in the real world. :)

2. Avatar - I change this quite often. Holidays will always have a "special" one, but my "everyday" avatars are generally based on classic Hollywood actresses (when I evetually use all of the pictures of the actresses that I have I will then switch to the actors). The current one is Katharine Hepburn, by the way.

3. Signature - The first is a quote from the main character of the US version of "The Office". I heard him say that and thought it was so silly that I just had to use it for fun!! The second quote is Poe. I believe that needs no explaining. Except that it describes the reason why I am kind of crazy sometimes! :p

Name: I was really interested in angels, and I researched into seraphs. I learned that Lucifer was supposedly a fallen seraph. I decided to make a user name called FallenSeraph, but that was too common of a name, so I decided to put sixwingangel, but that was somewhat common too. But I realized sixwingmortal was a nice fit, because nobody on this planet has used that user name, and mortal attached with a seraph description (six wing) is similar to FallenSeraph in its meaning.

Avatar: My name is sixwingmortal... blackness is the main color of my name, but rays of whiteness fits in quite nicely... Its more of a design rather than a nice meaning.

Signature: Well, why do we cry? What actually provokes us to leak from our eyes? Crying over happiness and sadness intrigues me, why exactly do we do it?

Anyways... that was a HUGE explanation. I hope at least one person has read it.

Oh:idea: I was wondering what your name was from. You know, out of all the Dwarves' names, Dori is probably the most feminine, followed closely by Ori and Nori. I really like the names Dwalin, Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur. Anyway, maybe you could put a dwarf as your avy. I really love chocobos though.

Now I wonder, craze, what's your real name?:)

I'm a Rockista . A rockstar. Someone who rocks. (Oh, don't I wish!:p) Basically, I'm a person who loves rock music. :D And because I am a Rockista, my user name is Rockitcza.

My two nicknames are Kit and Cza (the shortened form of my second name, which is a more unique and elaborate variation of Czarina). So after interchanging the letters "s" and "t" in Rockista, I changed the spelling of the words to show the two names.

The "zany capitalization" (as you guys call it :p) in my username is simply a declaration of my craziness combined with emoity and a common method I used to emphasize my two nicknames. It also was my distinct style of texting at the time that I joined litnet (I had a pretty modest-looking phone then :)).

Actually my user name is exactly the opposite of reality.I,according to my friends,am way too formal to have even a normal conversation.(Which is obviously nothing but exaggeration of a tiny detail:I like to observe discipline!)
So this means my user name is merely a sarcasm as my friends once called me by the very words!
Thanx God they have abandoned their absurd practice!:phew:

Jane Jane
01-14-2008, 04:03 PM
I have a friend across the sea that is named Jane. She said she felt so bad m ost of her youth because of such a plain name. I don't agree. I think Jane is rock solid, has so much potential, think of Jane Austen for instance. So I decided on Jane Jane to emphasize my feelings on her name.

The Avy and signature go together , the Lady of Shallot. I identify with her a lot and well.......it just seemed right some how.

Formality hater, I was just reading your profile, I like to learn little by little about others, and I think your explanation is enchanting. And it makes you mysterious somehow. :)

LadyW

"LadyW" Pays reference to the character "Lady Whistledown" in a series of books I have just recently read.
She's a witty and anonymous gossip column writer in the Victorian Era who knows everything about anyone.
Her dry humour and sarcastic remarks made me laugh throughout the whole of it, and so I selected this name :D

I had an epiphany while sitting on a car thinking about the nature of the world, it just came to me and so I chose it. Only I in all the internet and the world, go by this name (and it's copyrighted, so don't think about stealing it)

It means: everlasting (or immortal) dragon.

Baki can also be used as an intentional misspelling of the Japanese word for idiot. fitting, don't you think!?

What do you guys think about it?

Gadget Girl
02-11-2008, 07:37 AM
I chose Gadget Girl 'cuz that's what my ex-classmate named me in my early years of high school. My Map avatar because when I joined LitNet I found it randomly on a site and never changed it since then. I was an avid fanatic of HP before (now it's gone) and that's why the title is Marauder. I'm not really a marauder in real life but I wrote that so it can match my avie. :) My siggy, it's because I found a painting on the internet which said, 'Je suis incognito ici, faites le savoir' and I decided to make it as my sig.
