Vileness is a virtue

Malice is a new ethical statute

Live by ideals

Those wining are sheer infidels

***

You have questions heaped inside

You look askance at things

That there is permanence

That there is deathlessness

That we are from God

That if we do things of righteousness

We secure some space in heaven.

You are unsure in your part of the cosmos

Of integrity that saves you

Of uprightness that elevates you

Of forgiveness that sublimates your enemies

You devalue ideals

You unlearn moral codes

You do not turn the other cheek

If one is smitten

Exculpation is a good virtue boxed in a bin of ideals

We want it hushed up in our idyllic mind

Back in reality you can not get out of a rat race

Evolution validates struggles, frictions and tugs of war

Nature is brutal

You are a part of it or originate from it

Ideals are puny substances

Nietzsche’s slave moralities

We cook up ideals to shore up our own existence

Love is a momentary spurt of emotions

Marriage is a contract

Familial bondages are forced understandings

Every ideal will pass

Vindictiveness endures the test of time

God was dead in Nietzsche’s time

Morals are dead in our time

Our foot is on a crumbling ground

Security, safety, reliability, pacification are inaccessible domains

Terrorization is looming large on us

People are mutinying themselves

Capacitating, at loggerheads

This Brave New World

Wherein ideals are shattered

Values are annihilated

The monument of honesty is bulldozed.

Oh, my God, Blaze! I could not tolerate this poem did I not believe that it was an ironic inversion of the idealism you subscribe to! But what a devastating account it is of all that we hope is NOT TRUE!

Many if not most of the tribulations of the Human Condition are listed here, not the least of which are the
expectations which others, societies, governments, tacitly
impose on individuals. Who decides what the Ideal should be?
This is a very good treatise.

I liked this Blaze. It built up a really nice rhythm, and sometimes these types of lists make great poems. :)
