Did you hear how swift
The news from Pali runs?
They say the East has donned her pearl gown
And waits in regal splendor for her lover, Don, the sun.

And did you hear the whispered
News Makini speaks?
How at his royal kiss a
Coral blush passed o’er her cheeks.

But Mauna Kea could not know
The news is desert to my eyes:
To tast your lips and see your face in the soft morning light--
Ah, this is paradise!

Did I hear that stream running soft?

It rained yesterday so the stream ran in riots.

Perchance I might walk today,

In the shores of yesterday,

Hearing the soft stream whisper me,

Go get lost in todays turmoils,

For the stream will always run whatever.

God, how I love the lightness of your touch, the sense that your lines are not so much crafted as discovered, spontaneously!

This poem has a lovely easy flow to it Scube, and a light spontaneous touch as Prince Myshkin said. It has a lovely warm feel about it, very enjoyable.

Transporter room ready: Scube will be taking us back to Hawaii for those who have been there, and those whom have not yet had the experience will feel it as if they had!

Pen.
