I was just thinking, and wondering, what were your first posts on the LitNet? Mine were on All Haikus Are Welcome by Uncle Lar. State the thread name, genre, and starter.

My first LitNet post was done under another user name. Then I stopped coming for a while and forgot my password. I disabled my email account and couldn't get a temp password emailed to me and wasn't sure how to proceed so I gave up on LitNet. Then I re-registered as "Shalot." I don't know what my first post was as Shalot. It was probably in Song Title Game. Maybe. I don't even know.

Mine was in a thread started by Crisaor entitled "New Members". The thread was about why new members lurk or why there weren't any new members.

I remember. At the time, new members kept signing in (nothing like the current pace, but it was big enough to notice), but it was always the same of us who hanged around. I didn't realize at that time that it was your first post papaya, it would've been illustrative (shortly after I made that thread, I got chastised by Sine, a new member who didn't like what I said and claimed he was here to stay. He made 7 posts and then vanished ). For the old timers, you can even see some of Abdo's ramblings/multiple accounts in that thread.
IIRC, my first post was about Lord of the Rings. I remember the cybercoffee in which I used to check the site those early days, can't believe it's more than 5 years already.
I think mine was from a thread that I'd actually started myself about the Countess G--. I was reading The Count of Monte Cristo at the time and wondered why Dumas didn't give her a name. I'd seen other writers do that too and was just curious. That's actually how I found the forums when I was trying to research it online.

Don't remember much. Probably some Harry Potter thread, an introduction thread, some other threads in General Literature, Taliesin's poem 'The World of Shadows' and Their birthday thread.

I think my first post was in a thread about weed where I was talking about the neurological effects of dopemine. I was really bored that day, usually I don't bother with threads that have serious topics.

I can't remember. Record here shows my latest post in 2006 and I joined in 2003. :D
But maybe, it was related to Jay's post or a comment on Nicholas..(something) post about him disliking his father..(I think...)
Welcome back, Shea! :)
Thanks Pen!:D

I thought I would look at the list of my posts and find the last one, but apparently it only keeps a record of 500! Oh well... It was probably something in the "Introductions" section.

I haven't the vaguest idea! That is kind of crazy because my first post wasn't that long ago! It may have involved a book, but I am not entirely poistive because I know that I also did post something in the Introductions section. I don't know, really. I kind of wish that I did remember now.
I found my first post, or at least what I think to be my first post:
Hello. I decided to introduce myself before I get on with posting. Here it goes:
I'm am a male sixteen year old with many hobbies and interests. They include sports (ice hockey, soccer, track & field), reading (the classics for the most part), and learning. I occasionally play tabletop wargames to pass the time.
My favorite book is The Hunchback of Notre Dame (also known as Notre-Dame de Paris). Of course, this is subject to change. Currently, I am reading Les Miserables which is a very good book. As some may be able to tell, Hugo is my favorite author at the moment. I think myself as an omnivorous reader, because of my interests that stretch far beyond the realm of fiction. I read anything that has to do with literature, philosophy, and history (military history especially).
Well that's it for now. See you in the forums!
