Thinking today about another year almost gone,
My God, how the time flies by like an owl on the wing.
And I recalled that two friends share a birthday you know,
We’re all getting older its just the way if all things.
B have you written that book we all thought you would write?
Your poems are so mystic and speak of things marvelous and deep!
And Claes did you ride another journey on your mountain bike?
You take such wonderful pictures, they’re treasures to keep!
I hope that you both got the very best birthday ever,
And growing old isn’t as bad as it seems at the first.
After all, it hit me too guy, you recall, back in November,
Another year is like putting on a brand new warm shirt.
So I wish you both the best from the bottom of my heart—
A New Year will soon be upon us, we can get a fresh start!

B-Mental and Claes, happy birthday and joeux Noël from your star-crossed auntie. By the bye, I've only recently started spotting your name, but it rang a bell. The other day I wrote a humble tribute to Canada's greatest musician (cf the thread titled "Your Poems Inspired by Music") and while I was looking up some info, I spotted this guy:
Johnny Claes (1916-1956) He was a Belgian trumpet player who abandoned his career in the 1940s (a tad before my time) to be come a race car driver!
See- you learn something new every day. Whether the novel info is useful is moot. . .
