What is the best most complete accurate blah blah translation of said book?
Thanks:thumbs_up
The most common translation is the anonymous one, which is used by Modern Library and Oxford World Classics. I own an edition published by Barnes and Noble, which also uses the anonymous translation. This translation is unabridged, by the way.
There's another traslation that is "more accessible" to modern readers. This translation is by Robin Buss (Penguin Classics uses this one, I believe). But you probably want to go with the anonymous translation I mentioned above.
Actually, I am currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo. In fact, I was just reading it before I posted here. It's a good book so far.
