when hearts change, looks change,
the look in your eyes no exception;
eyes that once shied those of a gazelle,
or did they ?
how could one blinded with love tell?
I couldn't tell the truth before
as your eyes lapped over mine
with no room for looks,,
all visionary distances traversed
but now as you have retracted
and drawn your eyes apart,
the distance exposes your eyes;
the shine that once lived there
seems but a mere delusion,
a treacherous umbra,
two black holes.
Oh, what devastating looks you have acquired,
murderous enough to kill a horse!
please remove your looks from me,
I cannot stand your evolved stare;
your eyes were not these eyes,
your looks not these looks
as long as they merged with mine;
but as you drew away from me,
the change is self-revealing
and goes without saying
what your crossed-eyes auger,
what doom your stare carries
for my blind love.
