My teacher asked us to write a poem on denial so here it is for you guys to dwell upon :) Oh, and I couldn't think of a title, so I just left it as "Denial"
Denial
I sit here lost in thought
For I have nothing better to do,
Drowning in my problems
That have conjured up more than I knew.
I am in a state more morbid than you can imagine;
I fear the incidents of the past,
Yet I dwell upon them for countless hours
Only to find myself much more shaken and aghast.
No one has sought to comfort me,
A child so beaten and forlon.
Perhaps my weeping repels such company,
Yet I have no idea what it is that I mourn.
I have endured long and dreary nights of pain,
Succumbed by the bequiling conceptions of mine,
Which have caused me to break into hysterical fits
That could not be healed except by the consumption of wine.
I have long waited for a sign of some sort
To release me from this dreadful state;
I yearn to return to my previous life -
My existence remains in the hands of fate.
