Fuzzy Wuzzy! Haha, kidding.

Hmm... now, seriously...
Cotton (because it's a poodle, yeah, I dunno, random mind).
Now, excuse me while I list one name for every letter of the alphabet, and yes, they will be random. (I know you probably won't read them all.)

Angel
Bagel
Cadmium
Demon
Elfi
Fergus
Gregory
Hitler
Ilina
Jolly
Kaitlin
Lucifer
Mole
Nosferatu
Obsidian
Polygon
Quartz
Riddle
Snakey
Tribble
Ursela
Vivian
Whisper
Xylophone (sp?)
Yzma
Zander

Ehem... and now you all think I'm crazy. >.>

For some reason I do want to name it Yzma  or Hitler. I'll probably get disinherited by my parents! :D

o.O Wow. Haha. I didn't think anyone would agree. I stole Yzma from the crazy lady in the move The Emperor's New Groove. O.o Good luck with that. If you get disinherited at least take the doggy with you!

The funniest thing is a not-so-tough dog with a tough name. here are some of my favorite dog names (although, I must say, when I get a dog it's going to be a pit bull or a doberman or my all time favorite rottweiler - and he will have a tough name - but for your little poodle, a tough name would be funny):

Bruno
Brutus
Bruiser
Smasher

of course, it is a poodle, so you might call it

Prince
Snuggles
mr. huggles
Muffkin
Precious (in a sick silence of the lambs tribute)

I think you should go with the tough dog name - Chopper maybe.

 I once used to know this huge, pit bull dog who was named "tiny" it was pretty hilarious.

I'll consider these. except precious. Reminds me too much of Smeagol.

Oh god.

I could name my dog: Frodo! and thus spare my future child the embarrassment.

Baki, ideal name for a dog to learn and respond to its name is a two syllable name ending in a vowel or close to a vowel.

In all seriousness, you are totally right about that, Virgil! :)

And if I may add to the thought -- my dog trainer said that to try and make the name not something too close to something that is said all the time (like me calling the dog 'coffee' or some such thing). Wait a minute -- I called mine PEPPER! What was I thinking? :p

Lily Adams

I just got it yesterday now and it's a blue collier.

Paramore isn't so bad.. :p

as a band yeah. But the meaning of the word isn't really that well for a puppy.

nope.

I don't really know the breed but my mum said it was a collier.

It's sort of long legged and dark with a ratty tail.

hehe my Ares was a really wild doggy (huge too). As far as i know i was the only person he loved (and hadn't bitten) :( . Now i am really depressed :( ...anyway..the name being short and having an "r" in it was easy for him to learn and respond to...i trained him using dog cookies (but he was so clever my sweet darling :( ).

Aramis is a very beautiful dog but a bit dumb..but i love him anyway :p

Other names i like

Stalin   (you will be disinherited, that's for sure)
Rocky
Rigo
Raspoutin

Can you imagine..."Hi! I'm your fan Sylar- want my brain?"

It's a nice name...and a sign saying "Beware of Sylar" would make me laugh more than it would scare me.... but for a dog?

I love that movie!!! (and not that anyone cares but my grandmother made us turn it off because MJFox said "Holy ****!" She is so holy. )

Anyway, great choice and I hope you and your dog have many happy walks and snuggles.
