Crandall says consider anything from public speaking to karaoke to open-mike night at a local comedy club. Additional suggestions include auditioning for a reality show, to moving cross-country by yourself, to launching a business to entering a modeling competition. In fact, More magazine hosts an annual 40+ model search.

5. Realize a Dream: It's never too late to realize a dream. Visit a place that's called to you -- perhaps Paris or Rome - or start a new career, whether it's opening a bakery or going back to school to become a doctor. 6. Learn Something New: Consider learning a new language or taking cooking or art lessons. You may even want to combine any of these new experiences with a fantasy destination (as mentioned above). 7. Change your Hair: Whether it's a cut, color, or both, make a dramatic change. By this age, we have often established a default haircut: It looks good, but you've been wearing it for years. Try something new. It's a big change but a small risk, as hair always grows. If you are already dying your hair, consider letting it go gray.

No I did not know that (Islands in the Stream). Oh Nick you don't have to give me a gift. What do you mean by transcribe? Hand type them in? Sounds like a lot of trouble. You don't have to do it for me. But I'll tell you. One of the things that helped my writing when I was young was transcribing good works of fiction. So because I think it will help you in your writing, I'll let you transcribe a Hem short story for me. ;) Thank you Nick. You're a great guy. :)

Yeah, I haven't been here in ages. I got caught up in classes and studying. Exams are next month, but we're done with all the classes now, so I'll hopefully be around more often :D I'd LOVE to join for a book read, it's just that I already got tons of reference books to go through, not to mention that I'm still finishing up my novel course reading (I'm currently reading the final novel this term Silas Marner). But I'll try my best, if not in a book read then in discussions in general...I'll be around anyways..:D:D
