The look in his eyes is like
the sound of distant thunder;
The smell of his skin is like
rain on the wind.

The way that he loves me is like
a storm in all its wonder;
Passion that rages like
lightning in the sky.

No, it's not new. I edited because I found a typo. Us literature geeks can be kinda fanatic about spelling! lol. I had left out the "n" in lightning.

I wrote the poem approximately one year ago and had gotten some positive feed back from the few people I'd shared it with. You know how that goes, though. When it's people close to you, you're always doubting whether or not they're simply being kind.

Again, I appreciate the input!
