Empty Frame

An empty frame
displays a loss.

Tortured are the mournful eyes,
that still can see
an image long departed.

Empty Frame

An empty frame

Tortured are the mournful eyes,
that still can see
an image long departed.

Ideas, great may ideas of course are condescendingly put forth here in their condensed form. Of course throes of pains that go untold and unvoiced and this of course proves how a writer can give shape and form in a poem like this.

I'm not quite sure I understand your reply.
The way it's worded makes it hard for me to truly grasp what your opinion is.

I'm sorry for my confusion but I'm not sure if you like or hate the poem.

I am sorry for being ambitious. Of course your poem is beautiful and absorbing. There are no nuances of doubt!

it would inspire the reader to think... although right now i would have preferred to read about the loss and everyting else-the story-in the poem, but nevertheless, it is a poem that will imprint tiself in the reader's mind, more particularly if he can relate to it.... :)

Of course the poem has the substance to imprint.

I didn't know what to expect when I started posting this piece on the forums I visit. This is not the type of poetry I usually write. I awoke in the middle of the night with this poem resounding in my head and I jotted them down and went back to sleep.

For some reason I just liked how many ways "an empty frame" could be intrepreted. Some people have loved this poem and others have disliked it.
I just wanted to thank you for the comments you've given this and anyone else who may do so in the future...even those who say they hate it.
