Memories of a life long past,
In the fields of rice so vast.
In the house lies a cat,
Shining quietly beneath the sun never aging on a mat.
Its paws are now dusty,
Its porcelain coating quite musty.
Once draped in Jasmine flowers all about,
With all their sweet aromas when they sprout.

She rests beneath the window,
Watching the fields darken in the moon's shadow.
Reflecting little light on her side,
Glowing white, black and brown that collide.

Remembering times so small and quaint,
watching the wood chip with the paint.
Old and so fragile,
Feeling no longer agile.
Recalling the erotic lullaby of the spices,
Licking your nose with all those vices.

A day so long ago,
No longer a glow.
Still staring, those emerald eyes,
Waiting while time flies.
Tail curled in a backwards 'C',
My little cat you are my glee.

This poem transcends boundaries, of course lines drawn out between two worlds, a world of human beings and a world of animal beings. And this permeates the universal spirit of course!

Are not we organically one great whole? No matter whether we are animal beings or humans?
