I was wondering, how does a litnet member become a moderator? Not that I dream of becoming a mod myself. I'm just curious. Is there a selection process, or does the Administrator select members based on a certain criteria? Or do interested parties have to apply for the post? And finally, the ultimate Q: do moderators get paid for what they do??? :D Sorry if I'm being too nosy. I just wanted to figure out how this works.

It is a volunteer position, they're picked by me with feedback from the current mods.
