Simply put, I’m happy.
My needs are all fulfilled.
I want no more than rain when it is dry.

No more do I ponder
The meaning of this life-
I just live to look in wonder at all that is.

Too Easy! you might scoff,
I suppose it is just that,
But I ask you, why you want for more and more?

The trappings of the world
Are little more than that.
If you had them all your heart still would not be filled.

It feels almost as if it ought to be against the law to be this happy - and worse than that, to ADMIT to it! You go, girl!

This is a little golden treasure, motherhubbard. Sometimes we mistaken happiness for something more impressive than simply being contented, therefore we tend to gather much more of the world than we need. I think you captured all that, particulary in your last stanza. Thank you.

This is a beautiful tribute to the human heart and its infinite capacity to take in the world in all its manifestations. Glad to see you back, MH.
