Pinot Vino

Pinot Vino...Noir, that is,
came highly recommended,
I begged a tiny sip of his,
it tasted, oh so splendid.

Vitis vinifera grapes,
Voluptuous perfume,
Swirling round my tongue, it sates,
my senses with its bloom.

Sweet the edge, I fell in love,
it made my blood run hot,
Still the punch was powerful,
Forget it, I cannot.

Some say it's sex inside a glass,
makes some souls wax poetic,
So even if I'm alone, alas,
I certainly won't regret it.

 Now Amp, you've hit on a subject close to my heart. Well, done. Comic poems are not easy.

I kind of suspected that the rumours of Dorothy Parker's death were premature. (And they said you had no sense of humour!)

But - hey! you've got one comma too many here.

I love a good comic poem with a clever twist. Nice! (It rhymes too!)

:D But my darling Prince, you once told me I was good with commas. It went to my head. ;)

Pinot Noir is my favorite! And yes, even when alone, ahhh. Love it, your poem, that is.

Ah, the most romantic of wines for my tastes. Very well made poem in its honor. I love, "Sweet the edge..."

The poem is also very reminiscent of Dorothy Parkers.
