Help in remembering name of book!

Hi!

I read a book in primary school and i can't remember what it was called! I can hardly remember any details either. It's really annoying lol.

It was something about these men were trying to sell holes in the ground to these kids and somehow the kids went down the hole and they were in a different world =S does anyone know the book i'm talking about?

It does sound like a very mixed up memory of Holes. It doesn't sound like any other that I've read.

no :P im sure its not Holes :P it must be a book only my school read :P thanks anyway. :P

My friend here says it sounds like a version of Alice in Wonderland, but I'm pretty sure that's not it either.
