What is Life
By: Bruce Bradley

Life is an extraordinary thing. We all have one and you are in control your own. There will be those who will try to control yours, but the truth be know, only you can control your life. Others can influence you to do things and temp you to do what they want you to do. The actual action is for you decide.

When you are born your life began. You were dependent on someone for your every need. As you grow your dependence becomes your own. During these years the influences are great because you need to learn to control yourself. Some influences come from people you know and love. A lot of what you learn comes from people you never meet. This in part is because use of television. When television started it was more wholesome than the shows of today. It was meant to show family values and the American Dream. Now there is too much sex on television. I guess the reason is they believe sex sales. It must, as much as it used in advertisement. But it is like I said no matter what they display it your decision to watch and let it influence you.

Another thing you must learn to be independent and to achieve this you need the use of money. How to make it what you spend it on is very important. Here is a lesson that most people never think about. What is money? Have you ever though about it? In the ancient times money was gold and jewels. What is gold and jewels really worth? If you are hungry it really not worth anything, you can’t eat it. The purpose for the use of gold and jewels is because of them being rare and people desire to have them. The main reason gold and jewels are of value is peoples envy. They just can’t stand for someone to have something they don’t. This envy is so great that they are willing to pay the price to get it from them. In some cases they will go as far to kill the person to get it.

The true purpose of a financial system is to give you the ability to trade your wares or profession to someone for their’s. Of course you could trade yours to them and not use money but if you need what they have and they don’t need what you have. You are stuck at that point. With a monetary system you can give money you earned and they can use it to trade with someone else for what they need. So you can see it necessary evil for a civilization to exist. I guess you could say it what it is based on. Without it you would have to do and provide everything for yourself.

Greed has grown with the use the financial systems. As long as people can think for themselves there always will be some who will be able to take advantage of others misfortunes. They will loan money to make money. These people are there to feed off of your mistakes and they know when you are hurting they are important for your exsitance but stay aware.

The worst part of life is to know it is going to end. when you are young this thought is far from your mind. As you get older it becomes a reality. It is a tough decision on how to believe what will happen when you die. It really starts to plague you as the day you just lived could be your last. Some believe you go to heaven or hell. Some believe you turn into energy and are absorbed into the atmosphere. What ever happens we all end up lifeless and you will know at point.

Try to live life like there is no tomorrow because there is no guarantees. If it don't get done today it may never get chance be completed. Moral: Don't off for tomorrow what can be done today. Of course the decision is yours to make and never change that.

When I ask what is life, the question is a little different, and the answer too.

We are above all feeling beings. We are thinking beings too, but imagine for a moment entities on a plain, a field, or a dimension. Space is this dimension, and there are others. For instance, electro-magnetic.

I'm glad you're thinking about this and everything, but Bruce you must remember that everyone is different; none of your musts, needs, and absolutes apply absolutely. For instance for myself it is different, and for people all around the world it is different.

To go back to what I was talking about; we connect with our environment very intimately. Nor is it a one-way connection; the mere object of observing the environment affects it.

What dimension do we usually think in terms of? Most people don't give it thought, or if they do, then it's just the three dimensions. Without getting into the Christian religion for now, I'd like to talk about another dimension, the bio-electro-magnetic field. This is where our nerves feel the environment. Everyone has some sensitivity. Some have much less than others, and some have much more. Since this is a part of our very basic reality, it is what comes to mind when questioning life. This dimension is how we really interact with our environment. Sight is great, and hearing, but with touch and smell, we can detect things we'd miss with just sight or hearing. In this way we interact a little more mystically, and a little less with the thought and concept oriented philosophy.

We interact mainly on this dimension. The way we connect to others is feeling, and then knowing that they feel too.

Furthermore, we have quantum brains. Connections are being made instantly, millions and billions of them. So...it's pretty amazing.

But, if we accept the notion of a quantum brain, then we also have to accept the notion that nothing actuall touches anything. In this sense, we are all connected in some, so, one can argue that nobody actually feels anything, in the sense that you're describing.

The only thing that anybody is truly aware of are their ideas, and the fact that they are in contact with their ideas. Even our ideas of reality. We may believe that the world exists outside of ourselves, and that it is physical with all the qualities of having an appearance, in all the sensual implications of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste. However, the way we interpret and experience this world is through our ideological approaches. All we ever know are our ideas of how reality looks, smells, tastes and feels like.

What is life, if so full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare

(and express ourselves in silly posts, that few will read)

For the few who may not be familiar, here is the rest

This famous poem by
Poet William Henry Davies

What is life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and
stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or
cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in
grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at
night.
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can
dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and
stare.

Just wait a minute
Now move on !
