Under her lids the galaxies gather,
While stars slide by and stop
On her horizons.

Yesterday,
When I was bowled over by shadows,
I clung exhilerated to the plummeting pavement.

Now I lie here,
Guardian against reality,
Watching as you live quickly
Behind closed eyes.

Very nice. I like that galaxies gathering under her eyelids. Living quickly behind closed eyes makes me think of a child. Perhaps that is why the narrator is a guardian or keeper.

I liked the microcosm/macrocosm allusion in the opening
lines. I also appreciate the modest length of the poem.
Run your Spell-Check over "exhilerated."
Good effort.

Lovely poem !

I loved the first stanza most :

Under her lids the galaxies gather,
While stars slide by and stop
On her horizons.
