Written to my eight year-old daughter.

Sunshine curls and azure eyes
And nearby freckles sprinkled round
And on a seraphs nose they rise
O'er dainty lips in rubies gowned.

Lovingly, within my heart,
I sketched a portrait of your face
And found no sooner there the art
But seemed a more delightful place!
