To Countess

She is a rare brand of royalty with a joy that seems so boundless,
Never confined by anything she dreams beyond everything she sees.
A lady fair whom any gentleman’s heart would beat faster for, This Countess,
She paints and writes and plays her music somewhere beyond the seas.
The Title may seem to bring to mind the chill of night and scent of blood,
But she is no undead Vampire looking for a thrill and filled with thirst.
She does not go round at night enveloped in coal black shroud,
And she doesn’t bite and hasn’t since the day of her birth.
So she is a bit mysterious, that is a ladies privilege you know,
I’m not about to ask her ask, I’m permanently stuck myself at 39.
So another year’s rolled around the block and how the time does go.
But if you’d like a birthday dance, it’s mine as well, so Countess we’ll do fine!
There is something about those of us who were born in this month of November:
We might not ever become famous but, we are people that you can remember!

Goshdarnit! Kiz is / was right from the start: I was hoping nobody would notice, especially if I did not log on for those 24 hours. I so hate the spotlight!

But alas, my efforts were in vain. Everybody showered me with happy well-wishes and made me :blush: :blush: and wish to crawl into a corner and cover my head.

Thanks to all of you. I am saving all of your gifts to a special folder (even the picture of the garish wallpaper), and when I am feeling sad, and like nobody loves me, I'll have all these little reminders on my computer.

I'm very touched, obliged and embarrassed. Hugs and thanks to all of you!
