Is it possible that a web writer could leave a perfect work of fiction on a website as a serial and never call it a novel? Can a blog ever be considered a work of art?

Could there be a blogger out there right now with the most important blog of our time?

No, I do not believe that is happening, but that is not truth.

I think there could be a blogger out there writing a serial that could later be published as a novel. But I think that if there is an important blog of our time out on the web somewhere, it'll be more about social issues. Blogs have already changed the Presidential race and I believe they will only become more important. It's a great way for more regular people to get their voices heard.

Well, when you think about it the internet/blogs/forums/etc. haven't been around for that long, so I won't say that something canonical couldn't come out of it, but, for the time being, I don't think it's happened yet, or even about to happen anytime soon. One genius is all it would take, though, and the floodgates could open.

i believe it ,of course the net work will be more important. we will learn to be accustomed to the work show in the blog as diverse as novel .poem. fantasy.........which must be longer than the traditional work,is no longer as well as the traditonal ones.

and the big web site for the net-writer must be a trend , the good facet as much as the bad ones for people who write or read it. horrible ,,,,,,

Blogs still seem to me like small island universes compared to say readerships of any daily newspaper. Devoted memberships and avid too but, just for information's sake, what is the largest single blog membership anyone knows of? And the readership of any on-line newspaper? Blogs will certainly grow, but might the results still end up looking like the prevalence of relatively few providers?
