my profile says I've got two referrals. what are they?

re‧fer‧ral [uncountable and countable] formal
when someone sends someone or something to another person to be helped or dealt with
does it mean I sent two people to do something or two people send me to do something? to do what?

Sleepy, did you introduce any of your friends to the Forum? They must have given your name as referrals.

You know sometimes someone might think they "need" a referral to register so they check out the forum homepage and randomly pick someone from the "who is online" list.
