I am in urgent need of some fast weight lossing help!
I ordered a fantastic dress online. My dress size is uk 12 but i ordered a uk 14 because i always have a problem with closing dresses when it reaches my boobs, and 14s usually zip up like a glove. Guess what! this one wont, and i dont have time to send it back and get a new one as i got it for my christmas party in two weeks. I'm going to see if i can get the sides taken out a bit but just in case i want to shed a few pounds to help fit in the dress. I've managed to put on half a stone over the last month which has probably contrabutted to the problem.
So what i need is suggestions on how to loose weight from my upper body and around my breasts in under two weeks?
Anyone any ideas?
I really really want to wear this dress!:(
Help!!!!

Sweat a lot and eat more but smaller vegetable portions. (I have no idea if this will work for you but try it!)

My place of employment has an indoor pool, so I get to swim on a regular basis. This helps me in my battle of the bulge. In two months I have lost about two inches off my waist.

Good Luck!!! You can do it.

I wish I knew the answer to that. Do you have time to do at least an hour of cardio every day for two weeks while drastically reducing your caloric intake? Seems like that would work but if you're anything like me, you have other things on your mind and you look up one day and you're suddenly 10 pounds heavier...

You could try that and get a back-up dress just in case. Better to be safe than sorry.

Niamh,

Join Weightwatchers immediately (this week). If you follow their plan religiously, you can lose up to 7lbs during the first week. It is easy to follow and never gets boring.

Good luck!

A friend of mine fasted for a week and lost 15 lbs. He did a protein shake every other day, and perhaps juice? But I think mostly just on water and the shakes. I don't advise this if you've not had a lot of experience with fasting, though!! Still, I'd advise a semi-fast. (Perhaps go 24 hours on water, then never eat until you're full.) I think the body's hunger is a good guide for nutrition. And, if you can, you might want to walk 3 miles a day, though make sure you're well fed then...
Good luck!

Starving yourself is never the answer to a sucessful and permanent weight loss. Following such drastic plans, you will gain the weight back the moment you start eating regular meals and, even worse, you will end damaging your health.

a friend of mine has been doing this three day diet called the Mayo Diet, but not really related to the Mayo Clinic. She’s been on it for eight weeks and has lost four sizes. She does the diet for three days and then is just mostly normal but not junk for the other four days. I see her once a week and it’s amazing. Every time I see her she looks smaller. She finally had to buy some new clothes and it showed the amazing difference. Before her pants just looked really really baggy and you couldn’t really tell just how much smaller she was. She looks so great she even got a new hairdo.

Scheh; fasting is amazingly wonderful for the health of the body; it cleanses toxins out and aligns energy in a healing manner. It will also result in weight loss; but it should is very good for health. Fasting is a wonderful spiritual practice.

As for "regular meals" it is more healthy to eat food that you'll need for energy. We often don't eat for the energy it gives us, but that's how we should eat.

Starving myself is not an option. As for walking three miles a day, i can potentially walk up to 25km a day in work as it is, i also do three hours a week in the gym working on machines, swimming and aqua aerobics, its just lately i've been sitting in front of the computor alot between being on here and writing, and i've noticed myself munching alot while i'm on the computor. And its not just junk food, but dried fruit and nuts.( okay so maybe its mainly junk!)
What i need is a way to mainly loose weight to the sides of my breasts so the zip on the dress will go all the way up. I've sent it to the aulteration shop where they are going to try let the sides out a bit and extend the sides around that area. I'm slightly annoyed because the bust are is supposed to fit up to 37 and i'm 36 so i dont know why it wont fit.

Scher had the same advice for me. Follow their plan really well, and be sure to drink TONS of water. I'm trying to get back on it, but it helped me take off about 15 lbs in about a month or so. Also be sure to go to the gym if you can. It will not make the number go down with muscle increase, but I dropped two pants sizes in three weeks. Best of luck to you:)

Edited to add:

I just viewed your reply. If you are going to the gym already, use a rowing machine. You will be quite sore, but it will help to reduce inches around your chest, arms, and bust. It also had the added benefit of making your breasts a bit more perkey, but that was needed after having my little ones:D Never had the issue before. Anyway, it works wonders, and it is also fun once you are accustomed to the machine.

Why not try to cut what you eat in half. For example if you eat a doughnut, eat half of one (my grandmother's doctor told her to do that and it helped). I tend to do that if I need to loose (I absolutely refuse to NOT eat! I can't stand the idea of starving myself!). I also drink a lot of water. As for exercise, I always did pilates and it helped. I had a similar problem when I was a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding!! The dress fit when I tried it on, but it didn't when I finally got it back from alterations! Anyway, I did what I mentioned above and it helped me. Good luck!

ou would be surprised at how much of our bodies are consisted of water weight. This sounds silly, but when I want to drop a few inches, I wrap whatever part of my body I want with plastic wrap before I work-out. I sweat twice as much and can easily drop a half an inch in just one dance class.

Also, as far as eating goes, eating a decent breakfast is VITAL to keeping the weight off. That gives you energy for the entire day and enables you to eat a smaller lunch and dinner. If you keep active, your breakfast burns off all day. Plain oatmeal with fruit and scrambled egg-whites is a good way to start. Then keep lunch small. Think soup and salad or even just a protein shake. Finall, make sure you eat dinner BEFORE 6pm or at least 4 hours before you go to bed. All of that food is going to digest, and if your sleeping or not keeping active, your body's going to store it rather than burn it.

I've heard corset mentioned but how about one of those minimizing bras? I have one and it really does seem to work.

That's what I wear, and they make you look smaller (and sometimes choke on your own boobs) but I don't know if they actually reduce the inches-

cut your calories to 1200 a day and do cardio and use weights for your upper body. This will sculpt and tone you. Alternate your days doing cardio and weights and you shld see a change.
Good Luck !!!!

Yeah they kinda flatten you a little bit. They seem to work for me, I notice it when I'm wearing a fitted button down top. It goes from a little "pulled" to looking good.

Went to the gym today and threw in ten mins on the rower. Great suggestion. Also went swimming on sat after work, was still aching from that when i went today. My arms are so sore but as they say, no pain, no gain. I havent been eating as much junk but alas i did bing abit today. Probably has something to do with nerves seeing as i've another interview for duty manager tomorrow!

I'm so going to get me one of them body tucker undies. I think you can get a pair that takes in your whole tummy and goes up as far as your boobs flattening out, tummy, thighs and bum and hopefully anoying extra bits at side of boobs!:p

I hate those things. They mess with digestion.

Yeah, those things are not too comfie, as I hear.

Where I am from they sell these things called Body Tubes, which go from bustline down to past your hips, to snug in the whole body, basically. It is of course, for a short-lived period of time, but it is today's answer to yesterday's corset? Corsets have their merit, too, though (look cute!)

Hope you get use of the dress you bought, Niamh -- but don't starve yourself, it is not the best approach. Cheers, Kizzo :)

the south beach diet worked for me; i lost about 5 lbs in a little more than a week and i didn't follow it strictly (also noticed that my boobs got a little smaller). couple it with exercise and i think you'd be all set.

It did? Hmm... sounds interesting. What must be done, though, if you want to lose weight but want to maintain the size of your boobs?

there's really no solution that fast... you might try any of those suggestions, but bear in mind, if you do something drastic, you risk getting sick. you might burn those sugars, but water and fats are slow. best plan is get active, stay active, eat three squares and live with what ya got til you improve it the right way.

Does the wrap thing really work? I've always wondered about that. I think i may give it a try. Would wear it to work but would be a bit embarressed by the noise it makes, and sweating twice my normal amount in work doesnt sound like a nice thing at the moment!
