Cursed are the poets
Without being in war
They got wounds;
Broken hearted they are
When a lover’s heart broke some where far;
Rain continuous haunting their eyes
When truth lost to lies;
Wrapped in the sleepless nights
They dreamed of the day bright;
With a hungry soul they wish bread for all
Instead of diamond, a flower, for which they fall
Penniless pockets and rich hearts
That’s all they carry with a pen mighty than sword
Whole life longing for lots of love and little care
Because God’s lonely children they are

This line made me smile:
"With a hungry soul they wish bread for all
Instead of diamond, a flower, for which they fall"
lovely message!

aashishameya, it's really a good one.
Just a small correction if you intended "pen mighty than sword", replace "then" with "than".

What a message here. We ARE cursed, aren't we? We are like the paparazzi with pen and paper (or napkin or receipt or back of hand..whatever is available ;)), ready to click the moment in words. That line...'with a hungry soul they wish bread for all' is just marvelous.
Should it be mightier rather than mighty?

Poets are dreamers
Wage war in their dreams
Win battles in their vision
construct and destroy
worlds in their imaginations,
Poets are shakespeare,
Keats and Byron,
Wordsworth, Goldsmith
and Ezra Pound !
And many many more.
All generals of poesy
All dreamers awake
Some never went to water
some never touched the fire,
yet they seem to catch fish
and roast it !

This is what amazes me with the very talented, very young poets here on litnet. I wonder what I saw at that age?
