What are your Thanksgiving plans? If family dinner, do you have a small family or so are you pushing two or three tables together to fit all of them? What's your favorite Thanksgiving food? And if you're not American, maybe you have some questions about Thanksgiving like, why do we celebrate us booting out the indians?... Actually don't ask that question because I don't know. It's down-right rude. Instead, I like to think of it as a celebration of yummy food.
I celebrate with my small family (cousins aunts uncles grandparents and all totals to 10 people), and I love turkey more than life itself... And pie... yes pie is good...

My plans are up in the air. Too many family units have invited us over and I don't know where we're going. If I continue to feel like crap, I am not going anywhere. I feel like I have the flu and I am unable to catch my breath and something tells me I won't be recovered by Thursday.

Actually, I kind of hate Thanksgiving. there's always someone going, "you didn't get enough to eat, do you want some casserole?" while I have a plate full of food and it is so annoying. But I shouldn't complain. If I suddenly found myself without family I would be very alone on the holiday and then I would feel bad.

So far it's my family, along with my grandma, (Do you wanna see my teeth?) coming over and we have a 14 pound turkey to get rid of. We invited two of my teachers (Yes, I am that much of a geek.) that we thought would have nothing to do, but both of them couldn't make it. Boo hoo. :( I was hoping for extra credit.

My mother and my mother-in-law will come to our house this year. Should be a quiet Thanksgiving, except for football on TV!!!

I'm doing dinner at my house again this year. My family is all in Ohio, so I always have friends over out here in Washington so it feels like the holiday. Normally back home it is some 14 or so people at my mom's house, but everyone isn't going to fly to Seattle to do the deal at my home. This year it is my 4 person family, our friend, his family (Mom, Dad, and brother are in for the week), and possibly one other person. I always go over on any holiday so there is a 26 lb turkey, I'm also making stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, dinner rolls (from scratch), home made cranberry sauce, apple cider gravy, a cheese ball & pumpkin roll (to eat before dinner), and plenty of desert. There will be pumpkin and apple pie, cheesecake, and possibly a cherry pie. If I wan't to do the last one, I still need to buy some disposable pie pans. Either way, there will be tons of good food to eat. My favorite is the dinner rolls and the stuffing. The stuffing is my mom's recipe with my own twist of adding apples any maybe dried cranberries this year. I'm still working that one out. Either way, it's the best. Hope everyone else is having a good one.

We have two Thanksgiving dinners. One w/ my dad's fam on thanksgiving day and one w/ mom's the following sunday. Dad's side is smaller (only 14), so we all just barely fit around one table fully extended.
My mom's fam, however, is huge plus this year we're having some more distant relatives coming (like my great Aunt and second cousins), so we'll almost 40 ppl. We're trying to think of somewhere to have it other than my grandparents' house (last year we had two tables in the dining room, plus one in the living room, chairs everywhere, when everyone was sitting you pretty much couldn't go anywhere, there were one or two ppl that had access to the kitchen to refill dishes. And there will be more ppl this year:eek2:

I'm going over to my uncle's house with my dad's family, and we're having the typical Thanksgiving meal. Turkey, greenbean casserole, pumpkin pie (can't get enough of it!!!)

I'm going to a Thanksgiving lunch with my mom's side of the family, and then a Thanksgivings dinner with my dad's side of the family. There will probably be enough people at each one to fil several tables. I like my large family :) .

I have a huge family but since we're dirt poor, they won't come :( .

I will spend thanksgiving being nagged to eat my turkey, then after eating a forkful to make my mum happy, stuff my face with pie! (I love pumpkin pie, it's so goooooooood!)

For us it is just the "basic". The family gets together and my mother makes a big meal. I know it sounds a little wicked of me, but 2 of my brothers and their families aren't coming this year. Although they'll probably be around at Christmas. It just gets to loud for my tastes (I come from a family that is big enough). Maybe this will be the last Thanksgivning like this, anyway. My mother just said today that she doesn't know if she'll go through all of this trouble next year. It is just getting to be too much for her after all these years.

That is all OK with me just as long as I can still have some stuffing (preferably the Brownberry Sage and Onion flavored) and apple pie! :) Not together, though!! ;)
